Bolzano's wines
Bolzano is a wine town in the truest sense: the vineyards grow in the sorroundings of the town and reach the mountain sides, with their distinctly Alpine landscape. Almost every popular grape variety thrives here, but the fine, muscular, velvety red wine grown only around Bolzano ist the native Lagrein. Another valuable wine is the St. Magdalener,, growing only on the homonymous hill.
