Bolzano Bozen City Trail
The Bolzano Bozen City Trail is going into the fifth round this year: on 16 October 2022 three different running variants will be offered again.
Ambitious trail runners can set themselves a sporting challenge on the City Trail and the City Run.
The most demanding route is the City Trail and runs via the Oswaldpromenade and St. Magdalena up to the Ebnicherhof, continuing on a trail through the forest to the former Peter Ploner inn, ending with the descent along Runkelstein Castle and the ascent to the Guntschnapromenade.
The route of the City Run runs along the Oswald and Guntschnapromenade and measures 13 kilometres and a difference in altitude of 400 metres.
For those who like to run on the flat, the City Starter is the right choice. This is a 10 km run with almost no metres in altitude.
The starting signal for all three races is at Waltherplatz, where the prize-giving ceremony will also take place.
The Bolzano Bozen City Trail has been certified as a Green Event since the first edition and has been implemented accordingly. Green events are events in which sustainability criteria are taken into account. Essential elements are resource efficiency and waste management, regional added value and social responsibility.
The most important measures that are implemented are:
- Print products are printed entirely on 100% recycled paper. However, advertising is mainly done digitally.
- Promotion of local and seasonal products.
- Careful waste management: avoidance and separate collection of waste.
- Soft mobility: good accessibility by train, bus, bicycle and on foot.
- The event will highlight healthy exercise in nature or also in urban areas.
Help us to organise our event in the most environmentally friendly way possible. So please feel free to choose an environmentally friendly way of travelling by train or bus!
