Bolzano Bozen´s Spring Wine Events

The capital of South Tyrol is especially beautiful in spring: when the first buds appear and the days grow longer, Bolzano Bozen attracts visitors with mild temperatures and a variety of events.

• February 5: “Around the World with Wine: Portugal”

Tasting of still white, rosé, and red wines from various wine regions. A journey of discovery through a still relatively unknown wine country, guided by Christine Mayr. Organized by the South Tyrolean Wine Academy at the Löwengrube Restaurant, Zollstange 3, Bolzano-Bozen. Start: 6:30 p.m.

• March 26–29: 99. Mostra dei Vini di Bolzano-Bozner Weinkost

This four-day event at Maretsch Castle, in the heart of Bolzano, is one of South Tyrol’s most important wine events. More than 180 labels from around 40 wineries of South Tyrol can be tasted.

Opening hours:

• Thursday, March 26: 3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• Friday, March 27: 3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• Saturday, March 28: 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• Sunday, March 29: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Admission: €25, including 10 tasting vouchers and table reservation for a maximum of 3 hours.

The supporting program includes seminars, culinary events, and daily bilingual city tours on the topic of wine (German and Italian).

• March 26–29: “Mostra dei Vini di Bolzano-Bozner Weinkost Holiday Package”

When the Bozner Weinkost, participating hotels (Falkensteiner Hotel Bozen Waltherpark,  Parkhotel Laurin, Eisenhut Boutique Hotel, Hotel Four Points by Sheraton, Hotel La Briosa, Hotel Regina, Weingut Eberlehof) offer a special package.

With a minimum stay of 2 nights (B&B) for 2 people, admission to the wine tasting is discounted; the package also includes a guided city tour and a complimentary bottle of Lagrein or St. Magdalener from a Bolzano winery.

From 3 nights onwards, free admission to the South Tyrol’s Archaeological Museum (Ötzi Museum) is also included.

• Ongoing Winery Tours & Wine Tastings at Kellerei Bozen-Cantina Bolzano

Modern architecture meets traditional winemaking at Kellerei Bolzano-Cantina Bolzano. The winery regularly offers guided cellar tours followed by tastings of selected red and white wines.

• Ongoing Bolzano Wine Stammtisch

A relaxed evening for wine lovers, offering opportunities for exchange and guided by a sommelier, takes place every first Monday of the month from 6:00 p.m. at the Schmid Oberrautner Winery, Fagenstraße 50C, Bolzano.
