Train and Air Travel

Bolzano is a key railway hub on the Brenner line and is easily reachable by high-speed trains (Frecciarossa, Italo, DB-ÖBB Eurocity) from Rome, Milan, Venice and Verona. A new direct RegioExpress connects Milan Porta Garibaldi to Bolzano in approximately 3 hours and 48 minutes. Numerous daily trains connect northwards to Munich and southwards to Verona and Bologna.

From mid-May 2026, Bolzano Airport will offer flights with Sky Alps to Olbia and Cagliari (Sardinia), Catania (Sicily), Lamezia Terme (Calabria) and Brindisi (Apulia). Popular destinations such as Ibiza and Menorca (Spain), as well as Corfu and Kefalonia (Greece), are confirmed, with new Greek destinations including Preveza and Thessaloniki.
