Person of the Month: Sophie Dellago
The new Boutique Hotel Eisenhut, located in the heart of the city, has once again become a meeting point for Bolzano. This medieval protected building, renovated with passion and respect, offers hospitality in harmony with history, the city center, and the surrounding nature. Sophie Dellago is the soul of the “new” house, leading it with warmth and professionalism.
Sophie, what passions inspired you to choose this profession?
I love the hospitality sector, and this project captivated me from the very beginning, giving me many reasons to commit professionally. I am grateful to the owners for their trust, involving me in every detail of the project—from purchases to the selection and training of staff. It’s a great responsibility, but one that fills me with satisfaction.
The new Eisenhut now presents itself with refined design. What does it mean to you to manage such a prestigious boutique hotel in the city center?
It is a real challenge. But I fully align with the vision behind the new Eisenhut—being a “we meet” place in the historic center. Every detail of the renovation was conceived to create a welcoming atmosphere. For example, the four inner courtyards today serve as carefully maintained green corners within the old town, helping to revive the charm of this protected building. In this regard, I would like to mention the work of artist Elisa Capellari, who took inspiration from the theme and history of the inner courtyards of medieval houses in the city center, creating paintings that decorate the new Eisenhut.
Who is the new Boutique Hotel Eisenhut especially aimed at?
Of course, we welcome everyone, but we especially want to meet the expectations of guests seeking a warm atmosphere combined with quality and sustainability. We aim to offer the highest level of service and dedication to fulfilling every request and caring for people who, to us, are not just clients but guests. The new Boutique Hotel Eisenhut wants to win over its guests by making them feel at home. Our commitment is to be a reliable reference point for our guests throughout their stay in Bolzano, with high-quality services and standards.
What distinguishes the new Boutique Hotel Eisenhut from other hospitality options in the city?
What I particularly want to highlight is the combination of history and innovation achieved through the renovation. This perfect union sets the Boutique Hotel Eisenhut apart from other hospitality offerings in the city. This success is thanks to architect Igor Comploi, who managed to realize the owners’ philosophy down to the smallest detail. The same care given to enhancing this beautiful building is reflected in our dedication to our guests.
